![]() Heres the summary of the drama that I found on wiki: Last Friends tackles issues that afflict the current generation. Michiru's mother has brought a man back to their home and she is bullied at her workplace where she works as a beauty parlour assistant. She starts cohabiting with her boyfriend, a good young man who works at the Child Welfare Division and the only person who can give her emotional support, but ends up the victim of domestic violence and becomes fearful of love. The boyishly charming Ruka was a classmate of Michiru's in junior high school. She has performed brilliantly as a motocross racer and aims to win the national championship, but as the story progresses, a deep worry that she can neither confide in her parents or close friends grows evident. Takeru is a hair and makeup artist acquainted with Ruka. He is a good confidant to females due to his kindness and perceptiveness, and finds himself attracted to Ruka but has a phobia of sex as a result of a past trauma. The three of them become house mates and through their associations with others, gain the capacity to be positive about life. --jade_frost Cast: -Nagasawa Masami (acted with Yamap in Dragon Zakura and Proposal Daisakusen) -Nishikido Ryo (NEWS) -Ueno Juri (most famous for her role as Nodame in Nodame Cantabile Live Action) -Eita (supporting actor in Nodame Cantabile) -Mizukawa Asami (famous actress that stars in many dramas, also was in Nodame Cantabile) I was curious if anyone was watching this since Ryo acts in it as a abusive boyfriend. If not, D-Addicts has the first 2 episodes up. Kioku has hardsubbed the first episode, and softsubs for the second are up. Link to drama torrents: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.ph...ch=last+friends Link to drama softsubs: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_60626.htm Its relates to "real life" situations, so if you're the type that doesn't like watching pretty serious dramas, than I don't really reccommend this. The acting is amazing, but the story might not be something everyone likes. Tell me what you think! I love discussing dramas with people! Note: I'm not really sure if this is the right forum, so if I did something wrong, please tell me. |

Definitely watching this. I think Ryo is doing a really good job, he takes his role seriously and he really freaks me out. (Also, Ueno Juri is gorgeous in this. ^^)
Honestly, the only thing that puts me off is not the drama itself, but the reactions of people, talking about how great Sousuke is and sympathizing with what he does, glorifying the violence just because it's Ryo. Or, well, I really hope that's why. I'm really wondering where the storyline will go from here... -------------------- ![]() "There are times when he snaps... only for a moment." |

Its true about Ryo. I was watching the second episode the other day, and the scissors scene just freaked me out. The first time Ryo showed any sign of domestic violence I was pretty shocked already (the light breaking and the yearbook thing), but the scissors just... scary.
Theres so many directions the drama can go though. Like they started off with the ending, and than the beginning, so you're always on the look out for the "answer" or some kind of hint. I've been talking about this drama over at d-addicts, and some people even started to talk about what the opening song, and promotion banner hints at and all. I don't think I've ever seen a drama that has had so much impact and has made people think so hard about. |
