And so it begins. Yamashita Tomohisa thought to himself, as he moved stealthily through the darkened streets of Taoka territory. Everything was in place and he'd already given Kanon all the instructions she'd need to carry out the rest of the plan. he knew she was terrified that he wouldn't make it, but he was determined to return to her, no matter what.

Shaking his head and banishing the gloomy thoughts, he crept along the wall of the building, waiting. Sure enough, he didn't have to wait long. He didn't struggle, allowing himself to be captured. It was, after all, part of the plan.

Nishikido Mari

PERSONALITY
Personal History: Mari is the younger sister of Nishikido Ryo. She was a quiet girl, who spent most of her time in the company of her brother. Until she was 11, Mari tended to stay near Ryo constantly, looking up to him as he was a comforting and protective presence in her life. After their mother became ill, she spent most of her time caring for their sick mother.

At an early age, she became fascinated with the various forms of martial arts. In the spare time that she had from caring for her mother, she worked odd jobs in order to make enough money to attend training classes. At first she worked in Tae Kwon Do, but soon went into other forms, such as Muay Thai and Aikido. It was something she loved, and she was good at it.

As the months wore on, she saw less and less of her brother as he joined Taoka. She could never quite forgive her grandfather for taking away her brother. When he died, she knew Ryo would take over as head of Taoka, but she knew that it was something that Ryo was good at and he enjoyed it. She continued to live her life, eventually becoming an instructor at one of the local dojo's. It was here that she met her husband. They soon married and she gave birth to her son.

She hasn't seen her brother in a long time, which has made her rather melancholy. Her husband, who is an American soldier, is being transferred to Hawaii and she wants to see her brother one lat time before leaving Japan.

PERSONALITY
Personal History: Growing up, Ito was a relatively normal child. At least on the surface. At a very early age, he became fascinated by fire. When he was five years old, he set his room on fire, though his family assumed it was an accident. Little by little, as Ito grew older, it became apparent that he wasn't an ordinary child. Always fascinated by the color red, he would do everything he could to be as close to fire as possible.

Eventually his parents couldn't hide the truth any longer. At the age of sixteen, Ito burned down his school after he had a fight with one of his teachers. Said teacher was found in the rubble, charred and blackened beyond recognition. The work caught the attention of some Dojima members, who enlisted the young man before the authorities could get a hold of him. Leaving his family behind, Ito embraced his new family. They gave him a great deal of work, and he learned to master the subtle art of fire manipulation.

During his time with Dojima, he became very close to Bunichi. He eventually became the Favorite's right hand man and bodyguard. They became friends, and later, lovers. Ito has fallen in love with Bunichi, but he knows that the other can't reciprocate his feelings so long as his first priority is Dojima and accepts this.
Typical Attitude towards others: Ito is very friendly, though he'll never divulge his full personality to anyone, except those he trusts. At the moment, Bunichi is the only one that he fully trusts.

It had been two days since he'd escaped. Since that time, he hadn't slept or eaten, too afraid that if he kept in one place for any length of time, that he'd be found again. Two days after his escape, he finally allowed himself to rest. In one of the ruined safehouses that Dojima had destroyed, Tomohisa sat in the dark, waiting for Koyama to arrive. He'd given his Favorite a message to meet him here, but to take the roundabout way of getting there so he wasn't followed. Now he just had to wait.

[January 8th midnight] Abandoned Alley

It was the first time that Tomohisa had stepped out onto the streets since his escape of the Dojima. After his escape, he had sought refuge in one of the many hidden safe houses Miyamoto kept. Most of the others had been burned to the ground, but this one had escaped most of the damage. Using one of the many alias cell phones, he'd texted Ryo back and was looking forward to seeing him again.

The nights since his escape had been lonely and filled with terror. Nightmares of what he'd experienced plagued him, even as he was defenseless to do anything to stop. Until he could clear his name with the other gangs, stepping out to help would be certain death. He did manage to get the rest of Miyamoto organized through Koyama. He knew his Favorite wasn't up to this huge challenge, but he'd given him detailed instructions to follow.

For now, though, he kept to the shadows, clad all in black. He found it ironic; this was just like a year ago. Him standing in the shadows, waiting for Ryo. But it was for entirely different reasons this time around.
